One day, I was riding in a jeepney. The jeepney stopped and a guy sat beside me. I was stunned! Literally! Ang bango niya! Freshness, grabe! You know what I did? I slowly drew my nose closer to the guy and all throughout the ride, I was non-stop sniffing him! Ang gwaaappo! Ang gwapo ng amoy niya! I was in highschool back then.
I can’t see them. But, they must be somewhere near! Oh gosh, the F4 of the campus! I know they are just close by! I can smell them. I can smell them! Then, the coolest guys in the campus pass by. Aaahh... inhaling deeply. Those smell... no wonder why they are the campus crush. They really smell awesome! They are the cutest in the campus because sila din ang pinakamabango! I knew right? I was not mistaken. Malayo pa lang, amoy ko na!
I was in a long queue – bored, impatient. And then suddenly, my senses heightened! I turned my head to the right... turned it to the left. I stretched out my neck and tried to search everywhere, who could that be? Oh em gee! I want that scent! Not headache-inducing nor overpowering yet so feminine, so fresh, so captivating! What EDT is she wearing? I have to find out!
“Ang bango mo! Ang bango mo talaga! Uuuuhhhmmm...” And this guy couldn’t help but wrap his arms around me, forever hugging and kissing me ‘cause I smell great. That’s the first time I had an expensive perfume. And I was so yummy and irresistible to my husband! Hehe... Thanks to you who gave me that. I owe you one!
In the building corridor while waiting for the elevator, this gal came out of the door, noticed me right away and exclaimed, “Ang bango mo naman Miss!” Then, she asked, “What’s your perfume?!” Flattered ang lola mo!
You see, that’s the effect of perfume. Perfume does not only make one smell good. It makes one feel good too! Me? I feel sexy and appealing and beautiful and rich if I smell good! I feel more confident whenever I’m wearing a good scent. So, if you want to change your mood, if you want to instantly transform from being stale and boring to zesty, fresh or sweet or fruity or sporty, have a nice scent or simply change your perfume! Perfume indeed leaves a lasting impact! Remember that guy from high school? I can still remember his face! And whenever I miss my husband, I spritz up a little of his perfume in the air, then I feel his presence around. Just a small whiff and it can take me to a different place.

Why? Because I may need to break a bank for these fragrances! Good perfumes have long lasting scent that come with pretty bottle but they are way, way too expensive for me. So, oftentimes I just settle for the colognes found inside the grocery store. Aaww... When the bottle of my expensive perfume got empty, I said goodbye to luxury perfume. Oh my... What’s gonna happen now to my intoxicating, head-turning peg?
