12 Home Projects for 2013

1. Place 1 big indoor plant for the living area and 2 medium-sized plants for the dining area. These indoor plants can be Yucca tips and/or Kentia palm. I will still have to find out which are suitable for tropical climate and easy to grow and maintain.

2. DIY landscape the front garden. Haven't decided yet on what plants to use.

3. Have the grass pavers installed. I already have the grass pavers, they just need to be installed.

4. Plant bermuda grass on the driveway

5. Have ceiling fans installed on the family and Sam's play area. I like white ceiling fans with lamp at the center. Something like these from Houzz:

6. Install sliding door mirrors on the closet. Since our closets are all white, I prefer powder-coated white aluminum for the mirror frames. Like what Ms. Elle did in her project.

7. Have new colorful throw pillow cases sewn for our small throw pillows. I already have the fabrics. Oh, I like these throw pillows from Etsy.

Love, love, love also these fab pillows from ARQ Curtains. I'm still thinking if I will buy these costly throw pillows.

8. Hang drop lights on the living and stair case area. I love layered hanging lamps in different sizes.

9. Have some furnitures custom made such as secretaire for my office corner. I love these desks from Pinterest.

10. Chest of drawers / console table for the hallway. Parang ganito ang peg.

11. Side table for the master bedroom. Ms. Elle has already done what I am imagining. Secretaire on the left,  side table on the right.

12. Hang some wall arts like painting, decorative mirror, framed pictures etc. I will devote another blog post for this.

How about you guys? What do you plan for your home projects this year?

Love lots,

  1. So, these AREN'T DIY. You're having other people do the pavers, sew your pillows, install fans. DIY means YOu do it yourself, not hiring a professional.

  2. Yes, you are right. I will hire other people to do some of my projects. Mostly, I will do the designing based from the inspirations I have gathered. If only I can spare some time to learn to sew, it would be great to make my own pillow covers, curtains etc. But for the wall arts, I'm really planning to DIY. I just need more time and I think these projects can wait. ;)

  3. The bottom line is, all these creative ideas came from you.
