The plan where to stay in Hongkong was this:
- Since we're arriving in Hongkong on January 1, we have to stay in a hostel/hotel/house for 1 night.
- On January 2, we'll be staying at Hollywood Hotel inside Disneyland. There, we will be having a buffet to celebrate my niece's birthday.
- On January 3 to 6, we'll need to stay at different hostel/hotel.
We have to look for affordable but nice hostel for Jan 1, 3 to 6 stay. And I have found Golden Crown Guest House.
Why We Chose this Hostel?
- The price is so affordable.
- They've got good reviews on TripAdvisor.com.
- My friend has already checked in to this hostel. According to her, this hostel is okay.
Reservation
- I booked directly to the hotel via their website.
Price
- We availed the Superior Quadruple (2 double beds).
- The Superior Quadruple costs HKD 650 for ordinary days. We paid HKD 700 since it's peak season.
- Downpayment is HKD 300. I paid via Visa Credit Card.
Location
- 5/F Golden Crown Court, 66-70 Nathan Road, TsimShaTsui, HongKong
- To get there, here are the complete details.
Extra Service
- Once you've already checked out, you can still leave your luggages for HKD 20.00 per luggage.
My Review
- The room looked new and smelled fresh and clean.
- With private toilet.
- Towels were white and clean but there were no toothbrush and toothpaste provided.
- Body wash and shampoo were provided. We're having a hard time pressing the container of the body wash though.
- There was a provision for cups, hot and cold drinking water.
- With free WIFI inside the room
- TV channels were all Chinese channels
- No traffic in the elevator
- Location-wise, it's just a minute away to the MTR station
- Their website is very user-friendly and informative
- Great value for money

Do I need to say more for the final verdict? Hehe... Overall, I recommend this hostel if you're on a tight budget. Again, this hostel is nice and clean, and convenient since it is very close to MTR station. If I would visit Hongkong again, I would definitely stay in this hostel once more.

hi, what's the difference bet their superior quad and regular quad? from you pictures, I don't see a place to stow the bags, tama ba? thanks for this, i've been trying to find a cheap place with good reviews kasi, :)
ReplyDeleteHello Aliah... I'm not sure about the difference between the superior quad and the regular one kasi I wasn't able to look at the regular. Tapos, I never asked din 'coz I thought, the difference in price is not that high naman. So, I went for the superior. We put the bags/luggages under the bed. There were no closets - just a small center table and a ledge table at the side. Hope this helps. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi, is it near HK Disneyland? been looking for a place close to Disneyland and the shopping district. Thank you.
ReplyDeletehi Katrina! Not that close to Disneyland but is very near (just a minute away) to MTR station. Since Golden Crown is located at Tsim Sha Tsui, you are in the center of shopping haven. Outlets of branded products abound.
