One day, I was feeling masipag. I tried to organize our home and gathered all the books from our old house. I piled everything and check every single title. Lots are college books! Is there anybody who needs these college books? Let me know and I can give them to you. I don't want these books just sitting around the corner while somebody can benefit from them. But since, these are old books, expect that they are the old editions... and dusty... and nakaka-haching! lol. You can send me an email, message me on Facebook or leave a comment here.
There are computer and programming-related ones - XHTML, VB.Net, Javascript etc etc... There are books for Engineering as well. Others, I am not willing to give, like the dictionary (of course!), the medical question and answer, Stephen King (Oh, Stephen King! I haven't read his book yet.) and the other general ones.
As I was checking on each one, look what I've found! One of my high school projects! I know I'm not mistaken - this was my project during my second year, in Values Education subject. Buhay pa pala 'to! I wouldn't forget 'cause I've typed everything using a manual typewriter. Di pa masyadong uso computer noon! Kung uso na, di pa 'ko nauusuhan. Hehehe...
Say mo, pina-book bind ko pa!
With matching lettering. Nakakatuwa noon!
O, may computer na pala noon ah!
Maybe, I was on a tight budget that's why I've manually typed most of the contents. Hehe...
Compilation of Quotations daw oh! In reality, I just copied my grandma's concordance! So, 90% of the content are Bible verses. Haha!
And lo and behold, shining brilliantly in front of me - my watercolor paintings! Oh em gee! Ito ang limot ko na! Nakagawa pala 'ko nito! I'm so gulat with myself! I knew how to draw? I knew how to paint? Hahaha!!! Tinawag ko bigla si hubby. "Hurry, hurry, I have something to show you!" And I bragged about these paintings. Lol! Eh kasi naman, pinagmamalaki ko sa kanya na marunong ako mag-drawing dati pero wala ako pruweba. (Sa kanya lang, syempre love nya ko. Pag sinabi ko marunong ako mag-drawing, si sya kokontra! Hahaha!!!)
Yep, I copied my paintings from my NRSV Bible. Here, Jodel was laughing out. He didn't seem to see a mole at the nose tip daw, referring to the woman carrying the baby. I told him, napa-blot while I was tracing the pencil with sign pen. Mag-explain?
I was lazy to draw these people. Dami eh! Jodel asked me about the person kneeling, "Was that a dog?" Salbahe!
In the original drawing, the man looks apologetic. In my version, he looks angry! lol
I was 13 years old when I made these paintings. (Now, I'm 31. Uh oh!) I think, this was my first attempt to paint. Painting ba o drawing tawag? Ayii!

| Golden Brilliant Water Color |
I used the Golden Brilliant Water Color (ye, I researched for it!), the sinaunang water color and oslo paper.
The second time (and the last), I was in fourth year. I painted in the illustration board, using the same brand of water color, for a Values Education project too. But, it was taken by my teacher, remembrance daw. After that, I have never painted anymore. (Not because the last one was taken!)
Know what? I'm so happy I've found this li'l project. It's so nice to reminisce yung panahon ng kabataan mo. Parang lola na 'ko magsalita ah! Lol. And it's even more nakakatuwa that I could draw pala noon! The paintings are not perfect but hey - these are my masterpieces! Pagbigyan na! Besides, I cannot do this again. Nyihihi.
I am so framing these!!! Hahaha!
How about you? Do you still have your elementary or high school projects with you?

whehehhe. puro text books. walang personal development, inspirational. hahaha anung babasahin mo jan?
ReplyDeleteStephen King!!! That's why I'm giving the textbooks away! hahaha!!!
