Upon entering the Kowloon Park, we are welcomed by the grand statues of Hongkong's comic stars.
The Hong Kong Avenue of Comic Stars is the world's first of its kind. The path of around 100 meters in length, the avenue displays 24 sets of vividly painted figurines of local comic characters and 10 bronze handprints of local comic artists. Here we took photos with local comic characters.
I knoooow... Not just photos, but lotsa lotsa lotsa photos! Hahaha!!! If you're also there, you can't help yourself but take photos of EVERY comic character.
Hongkong Avenue of Comic Stars is located right of the entrance. After taking a lot of photos with the comic stars, we moved to the left side of Kowloon Park. Here, we were greeted by the maze garden.

Performing martial arts?
We were very lucky that the weather was pleasant when we visited the park. How we love to just walk around and behold the greeneries, the fountains and the beautiful gardens – Chinese, maze, spectacular sculpture garden etc...
Since the park is inside the city, I can imagine how delightful it is just to stay here during lunch time or after office hours to find some quiet or rest after long hours of work.
During Sundays, there are arts and crafts booths set up for public pleasure. Unfortunately, we visited the park on Wednesday. There are also martial arts demonstrations being held at the center of the Sculpture Park.
After strolling around the Sculpture Park, my hubby and mother-in-law bought food somewhere outside the park and we enjoyed our lunch sitting on the benches found in the Avenue of Comic stars. For our lunch, we had pork and grilled chicken and the famous white noodles of Hongkong.

My mother-in-law said it's called "hopan with kayok".

Or simply, white noodles, for me. Haha! The noodles are usually cooked super soft, with gelatin-like texture in the mouth. Perfect for cold weather!
After our lunch, we left the park and headed to Jordan St. where we took the train to Lai King station. Then, to Hongkong Disneyland.
