Crayola Twistables!

When Sam was just 2 years old, I already bought him crayons. I thought, instead of watching too much TV, I wanted to introduce a fun, educational activity. But instead of using the crayons for doodling and coloring, he broke them all!

I never bought crayons again right after that.

This school year, I enrolled him in traditional day care center. And of course, crayons is a must-have school supply. So, I bought him crayons again. This time, I bought those big, chunky crayons! In my mind, "Let's see if you can break them!"

During the second day of school, he peeled the labels off and during the night when I had him practice coloring, he threw the crayons away. And they were so brittle, so the crayons were broken again!!! Oh my!!!

But he has to have crayons. So after a day, before going to school, I bought him again with 8 pieces, small crayons. I'm never allowing him to bend or break or throw them away.

But when he's with yaya, I don't know but, his yaya is just letting Sam do what he wants... so... for the third time, all the colors, again, were broken into pieces. Hayayay!!!

Daddy told me never to buy Sam crayons again but allow him to use the broken ones. Oh sure!

But when I visited National Bookstore because I wanted him to buy some hard-bound books, I couldn't stop buying crayons again. I got two boxes of big, 8-piece crayons. Yeah, five, all-in-all, since the first!

And then before I go to the counter, I have spotted this Crayola Twistables that says "no more breakage"! Woohoo!

Each crayon is encased in twistable plastic!

When the tips get worn down, you just need to twist them up from the other end and then you're ready to keep on coloring. The clear plastic barrels keep them from breaking and make it easy to see how much color is left. With Crayola Twistables, no peeling nor sharpening is required!

Galing!

It costs P128.25 in National Bookstore. I checked out Pandayan Bookstore and the Crayola Twistables costs P121 only. Hhhmm, yeah, quite expensive compared to the regular 8-piece crayons. But then again, this is what we need. I highly recommend this product for your little ones!

Kaya lang, Sam's twistable crayons are no longer 8. Nawawala na isa! Talaga naman! Hehe...

Hhhmmm... now... what to do with those broken crayons?
