Home Project: Mini Bodega

We still have some long span roofing sheets remaining from the construction of our home. My initial plan is to use the sheets for the roofing of our lanai. Jodel doesn't like it. He prefers polycarbonate roofing. We'll, I agree with him. Polycarbonate roofing would look better on our lanai. But I don't want our white roofing sheets to just go to the junk so I thought of another idea. Long before, my father-in-law was suggesting a mini bodega in our backyard. I didn't want it because I want a beautiful backyard. But when that's gonna happen? 5 years? 10 years from now? Hehe... Masasayang naman 'yong roofing sheets if kalawangin di ba? Also, the garage is a mess! It has become our bodega and it's full of remaining construction materials - wood and metal scraps, paints etc... I want to clean and organize the garage. Sige na nga. Let's build a mini bodega that looks like a "bilik" in the backyard. I was thinking that it's just easy to build and it would not cost me a lot. Hehe...

Jodel again didn't buy the idea. Kakasira daw lalo ng view. I just told him that it's just temporary. Actually, the spot is reserved for Jodel's basketball court. I went on saying that if he's already prepared for his basketball court, then we can just removed the bodega. Bahala daw ako. Hehe...

So, I talked to my father-in-law about my new project and asked him to get me a carpenter. Being supportive that he is for all my home projects, he also took care of buying all the materials - coco lumber, nails, sand and a sack of cement.

Two days ago, the carpenter built the foundation using a cement. Tibay ha! Sabi ko temporary lang eh! Hehe... When my father-in-law takes charge, he always sees to it that everything is matibay. When the cement is finally dried up, they continue working on the bodega.

This early morning, at around 8 a.m., they were just building the support with coco lumbers.

They were able to finish the bodega before lunch!

Here's my expenses:

Coco Lumber - P2,120
Nails, Sand and Cement - P 330
Labor - P 700
Grava - P 0, we still have some left
Roofing sheets - P 0

Total of P 3,150

Did it cost me a lot for this mini-bodega? Bahala na si batman! Oks lang yan!
