Happy 26th Month Samuel!

It's the 22nd of the month again. Today is my beloved Samuel's 26th month and I am very grateful that my son is growing healthier and bibo. Sobrang bilis ng panahon!

I can still remember those dear moments when I was so shocked! He's just a year old and 8 months then, but he already:
  • memorizes the alphabet... he knows what word stands for what letter. "A" is for "apple", "B" is for ball. Yes, up to letter Z!
  • knows the basic shapes - square, triangle, circle, star, heart
  • knows a lot of colors - red, green, blue, purple, yellow, white, brown, black, pink, orange
  • names many body parts
  • names a lot of stuffed toys

A lot of things has been added to his chest of knowledge. He is learning how to count. He already knows 1 to 5 but still mastering it. Every morning, when we are going downstairs, we are counting every stair step. And how cute is that when your li'l one already knows how to mimic the sound of the animals? Sheep, elephant, cow, dog, monkey, duck, cat, frog, bird, pig... Lion is his favorite. "Rrrrraaaawwwwrrrr!!!" he often says. Haha! He can name a lot of different things and he doesn't fail to surprise me.

He loves flavored yogurts, sliced bread with cheese spread, or cheddar cheese sticks, fish especially tilapia, fried chicken, scrambled eggs and just plain white rice! For fruits and veggies, he loves grapes, oranges, honeydew, carrots and potatoes. Mimi does not allow this little tot to devour chocolates or any sugar sweets. But he can take a bite or two. He loves to drink Yakult and fruit juices. He is an expert in drinking vitamins! He can feed himself, but he is yet to master the use of utensils.

He is so active- always climbing the chairs and any other objects, running to and from, opening the drawers, throwing all the stuffs out and many more! He knows all the tricks to make our home a disaster! Haha! Just kiddin'.

Meanwhile, he still needs to learn how to tell us that he's about to poo or pee, take off his own clothes, jump up off the ground and how to speak clearly.

He is sooooo suuuwwweeeeeettt, naughty at the same. Every night during bed time - he always put his butt to my face! But after that, he would cuddle and kiss his Mimi. He would take my hand and place it to his chest or tummy and then, fall asleep. This little boy is truly my stress reliever. It feels ssssooooo good to feel his embrace.

I am excited for his new developments. Mimi and Adi will always be there for him. We love you so much anak!
