I have already cooked different styles of beef with broccoli but this version is my (and my hubby's) favorite!
Beef with Broccoli Recipe
Ingredients
3 tbsp oyster sauce2 tsp sesame oil
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp cornstarch
1/3 cup water
3/4 pound beef strips
3 tbsp vegetable oil, plus more if needed
1 thin slice of fresh ginger root
1 clove garlic, peeled and smashed
1 lb broccoli, cut into florets
Directions
1. Combine the oyster sauce, sesame oil, water, soy sauce, sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl, and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Marinate the beef for at least 30 minutes and store in the fridge.
2. Boil some water then blanch the broccoli for a minute. Remove the broccoli from the pot and soak in ice water for about 10 to 20 seconds. Drain water then set aside.
3. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat, then toss the beef. Add the ginger. Stir the beef until the meat is no longer pink, about 3 to 5 minutes. Put the garlic and cook for a minute. Add the marinade. Continue stirring until the sauce forms a glaze on the beef.
4. Return the cooked broccoli to the wok, and stir until the meat and broccoli are heated through, about 3 minutes.
Serve hot with steaming rice and enjoy!

Thanks for this! Will be going back to HK on January and it's my first dry winter there. This really helps as to what I should pack.:)
