When I was in Grade 3, we had this gardening activity as part of one of subject - maybe, H.E. (Hhmm, I actually don't quite remember what subject it was.) Back then, I was digging the soil when suddenly, something jumped up to the corner of my eyes! Bulate!!! (A worm!!!) Okay, I was not really sure how the bulate did that, or is it the clumsy me who accidentally did it but I totally freaked out and immediately got rid of the bulate! I was sooo horrified and I could really imagine that the worm might crawl inside my eyes, entered my body, eventually grow and multiply! From that day on, I became afraid of bulate. From that day on, I never attempted to garden again. Good thing, since that day as well, we no longer had gardening activity at school. I will never ever forget that. Maybe, that's one of the most traumatic experiences I had during my childhood. Haha!
But lately, I am so into gardening. Surely because we already have our own house, our own garden and our own backyard. Many landscaper wanted to do the job but no, thanks. I don't have enough money to splurge.
My mother-in-law, who is so passionate about gardening ,couldn't wait anymore for me to take some actions. Little by little, she started planting. But lately, she's been busy with her new cutie apo in town so... that leaves the garden thrive on its own. Hehe...
Okay, enough. I'm saying a lot. Last week, out of nowhere, I just wanted to try gardening! Maybe, it's a sign that I'm getting older. Lol. No, I actually think that gardening has some therapeutic effect on this stressed out work-at-home mom. So, I asked Ate to help me out...
At the two sides of the gate, we planted yellow bells. Actually, we uprooted these yellow bells from the other side of the fence and had them transferred to the entrance. I guess, you can imagine why I did that.
I trimmed some of my peanut plants.
And Ate started planting the peanut plants I cut on the other side. I told her that I wanted to try it. So, I continued what she's doing. But, it didn't go a long way 'cause Sam started throwing tantrums and wanted me to play with him. So, only half of the area was covered.
I was worrying that the peanut plants would die because they withered. Ate said that it's normal. I told her that if everything dies, I'm not gonna plant again. Lol!
Tada! After a week! Some withered but most of the peanut plants thrived.
After a few weeks or months, my peanut plants will grow something like these! Yey! I'm excited!
I know, I know that my garden is still a mess. I'm working on it, slooowwly. Also, summer is on its way so it's not a good season to plant and grow new plants. Hello water bills! Haha! I'm planning to buy new plants and improve our garden on rainy season.
I am loving this feeling of having tried something new! First time experience always rocks!
