Our Living Area with Colorful Throw Pillows

This post should be quick! Reminder to self: deadlines!

Okay, I want verrrry colorful pillows. For me, that means happiness, child-likeness and energy. And so, you can see a lot of colorful throw pillows in our living room.

Actually, I will add two more!

 

Yes, two more geometric pillows - orange and yellow. Have you noticed something? I have 4 solid colors and I'll be having 4 geometric ones. I haven't seen any arrangement like this from all the thousands and thousands of interior design photos. Am I breaking some rules here? Shall I now go to Google then type, Interior Design 101? Teehee! Whatever!!! That makes it unique - at least, in my own point-of-view. Hahaha!!!

(And oh, did I tell you that I will remove that ottoman in the center?)

Now, my question is – what wall treatment needs to be done in order to complement with my colorful throw pillows? I have 3 options in mind:

1. Paint one wall with black! Suddenly, I am thinking of a chalkboard! (See separate post here.)
2. Retain the current wall color, hang frames on the wall with black and white or greyscale print/photo.
3. Hang a big decorative mirror regardless of the wall color.

I think all options are safe and bold color-friendly. Regardless of what accent colors I put in, everything will just go together. What do you think? And oh, don't worry. All these 4 to 5 colors - they are scattered everywhere in the house. So, unity will not be compromised. Hhmm, ya, talking about unifying the space... But this is very challenging ha! Whatever the outcome is - I'm pretty sure, I will still be very happy with my jovial "colorful" home.
