It is no secret that I am a fan of turquoise. It is evident in my previous posts. But lately, I have been appreciating the color yellow - the sunny, bright hue. What's so surprising about this is - I told myself before that I will never ever paint color yellow in any of my walls! Well, it's not that I hate yellow so much. Just maybe, my eyes get tired easily with yellow especially if painted on the walls. Not anymore! It depends on the shade of yellow.
So, when did I learn to love yellow? When I found out that it looks perfectly with either grey or black! Our sofa is in light warm grey. The arm chairs are in cool light grey. We also have a black accent chair! Adding a punch of yellow to these neutrals just instantly brighten up the gloomy space! So, it's really a matter of finding colors that blend well together.
And since I love turquoise, I just want to play with colors. I want to see how turquoise and yellow can be paired up. Hence, this new post for Color Combination series.

Don't you smell the summer breeze in these two colors? Turquoise for the ocean and yellow for the sunshine! This is great for a beach-themed space! (And look how cute and adorable those little guys are!)
Furthermore, I have mentioned that yellow looks perfect with grey or black. For the next post under Color Combination series, you know what to expect!
How about you? Do you love yellow? What shade of yellow do you prefer the most?
