Design Inspiration: Chalkboard in the Living Room

In my previous post, I've shown you our living room. And I have a problem with 3 possible solutions:

• Paint one wall with black - thinking of a chalkboard!
• Retain the current wall color, hang frames on the wall with black and white or greyscale print/photos.
• Hang a big decorative mirror regardless of the wall color.

For this post, I shall focus on option number 1 and share some of my inspirations. Then, let me know what’s on your mind. Alright?

Recently, I’ve "liked" GUS Philippines Facebook page. And I.am.drooling.over their furnitures. I love every single piece from them. But, I also remember one thing - they have chalkboards in their showroom! Come, let’s take a look!

After you see these chalkboards, what do you have in mind? Have you just exclaimed, “WOW” like me? Or you asked yourself something like, “Who’s gonna draw in your wall if ever?” For the last question, I will answer you – ME! Who else? And I have already my own design – the ALPHABET! Hahaha! Woot! Woot!

And of course, SAMUEL! Papayag ba 'yun na hindi? And it would turn to something like this:

Aside from GUS, I have also looked for some other inspirations:

If ever I'd be implementing this, I wouldn't hang frames. I would draw them! Using a chalk of course!

What if my chalk-drawing plan fails? Then proceed to plan B, hang these frames! Hahaha!!!

Oh, this one is hard! Kudos to the artist!

Look how lovely the black wall is.

After painting the wall black, this is what I'm imagining our living room to be like:
