After namin makipag-beso-beso at makipagpalitan ng amoy sa mga animals sa Kyoto Zoo, tutal nasa Kyoto na rin lang kami at kahit medyo hapon na, we still went to Toei Kyoto Studio Park. Medyo malayo from the zoo, it took an hour and half ata aside from the waiting time (for the bus) and the walking distance.
Toei Kyoto Studio Park is a film set and theme park combined. It features a collection of different traditional Japanese buildings which are used from time to time as a backdrop for actual filming historical movies and television shows. The visitors are welcome to observe the action.
Admission: 2,200 yen for adult, 1,100 yen for children under 3 years old. Eek, expensivo!
Park attendants are dressed in historic costumes. It was so cool. Sulit na daw ang bayad sabi ni hubby.
Other park attractions include Ninja Mystery House which is some kind of a ninja maze, a 360 degree 3D theater, an anime museum (yeah!), woodcut print museum and a haunted house. They say that the haunted house here is one of the scariest in Japan. Some of these attractions require additional entrance fees.
If the visitor want to dress up in Japanese period dress, there is a Costume Rental Shop. One can also get photographed in 30 different attires including samurai, feudal lord, geisha and ninja.
Unfortunately, since it's already late, we haven't witnessed any "shooting" or filming act. Yet, we were able to watch some performances like the proper use of samurai. And you cannot force me to go inside the haunted house. Nakakatakot talaga manakot ang mga Hapon!
Though our experience on the park was limited, we still enjoyed our stay. We never know when ulit di ba?
