Overcoming Laziness
By Maloi Malibiran-Salumbides

The Bible has many reminders for us about the bad effects of laziness.
Proverbs 10:4 "Lazy people are soon poor, hard workers get rich." If you want to earn more, if you want to get rich, overcome your laziness.
Proverbs 12:24 "Work hard and become a leader. Be lazy and become a slave." Kung gusto mo ng position of influence or greater responsibility kailangang patunayan mo na kaya mong gampanan ang tone-toneladang trabaho. Dapat kakitaan ng kasipagan ang isang leader and people will gladly follow you.
Proverbs 13:4 "Lazy people want much but get little. But those who work hard will prosper and be satisfied."
Proverbs 20:4 "If you are too lazy to plow in the right season, you will have no food at the harvest." Dapat nating gawin ang mga takdang gawain sa tamang panahon so that eventually, we can expect a good harvest.
2 Thessalonians 3:10 has a very practical advise on dealing with those who are too lazy to work, "If any would not work, neither should he eat."
God has given us so much resources to be wasteful and lazy. Overcome laziness. Let's work and make the most out of the opportunities, talents, strength and skills entrusted to us by God and our company.
Be a blessing in the workplace today!
